I've had this place bookmarked for a while, since I've been seeing great reviews about it. They're on LaSalle St. which is a busy road with a ton of restaurants and shops in West Hartford. We were able to find on-street metered parking nearby. We got there for lunch and was able to get a table outside. The service was quick and friendly. We started off with the crispy pork nuggets ($8) which were super crispy and delectable; it came with sweet hoison sauce and chili flakes for dipping. We also ordered steamed chicken soup dumplings ($9); this came with a sweet soy dipping sauce. I thought this was just okay, there wasn't much soup in it. Next time, I want to try out their chengdu dumplings ($9). We were hungry so we asked the waiter for recommendations and he said braised beef pancake roll ($11) and boy, that was a good recommendation. It was a flaky roll with beef and sweet hoison sauce. Now my main entree was the Dan Dan noodles ($8). They mixed it at the table for me; it had noodles, ground pork, spicy sauce, and baby bok choy. Wow, I can eat a gallon of that lol, 5 stars all the way for that. My husband had the Roujiamo Chinese burger and he said it was okay. Overall, the food was 4.5 stars and the service and ambiance was 5 stars, so I rounded it to 5 stars total. I look forward to going back and trying out some more menu items!

The only bad thing about this place is how easy it is to miss walking down Lasalle. We split: - avocado shrimp - steamed pork dumplings - pork and lamb roujiamos - beef lo mein Everything was full of flavor. The sauce on the avocado shrimp had an unexpected sweetness but it was such a nice touch. Both the lamb and pork roujiamo, like a Chinese burger, were so tender. I look forward to trying the other ones like chicken and vegetable options. I'm not a big fan of lo mein but the beef lo mein here is now something I look forward to getting in the future. The flavors were bold without being overbearing and there was plenty of tender beef mixed throughout. I loved that they had Shirley temples on the menu, I definitely got one to channel my inner child. The service was friendly but not too engaging. The inside is super laid back. I'll be back for sure, super soon!

We have been trying to find an authentic Chinese restaurant ever since moving to the area, and Song was a great find. Yummy dumplings, great bao and a very nice staff. The price was right too.

One of our go-to spots for regional Chinese cuisine in the West Hartford area when we used to live within walking distance of Blue Back Square Cold jelly fish -- my absolute favorite appetizer of all time. I love how refreshing the jellyfish flesh is. The combo of cold crunch cucumber and fleshy jellyfish is addicting especially when marinated in a soy vinegar blend. It's the perfect summer treat! Chengdu wontons-- love the thin, slippery skins and the sweet and savory chili oil dipping sauce Gummy noodles-- we have to get this every time we visit!! We love the nutty, sweet, savory sauce that these noodles are coated with! Beef pancake roll-- still wish they packed it with more beef especially for the people who only get the ends. These go fast, so maybe order more than you think you'll want. The pancake wrapping is pan fried until the exterior is delightfully blistered Pork intestines w/ sweet potato noodle soup--for those who are a bit more adventurous, this soup packs a lot of funk from the intestines. The crispy soybean topping adds a nice crunch. Sausage fried rice-- a homey comfort that reminds me of childhood. Chinese sausage is akin to a denser, sweeter, jerky-like cured meatstick Cold sesame noodles-- a reliable consistent staple for those who like sesame paste Service is always fast and the restaurant is never too packed which makes for a peaceful space to relax and connect over your meal!

I personally love noodles and this place for sure has a wide variety of them. The appetizers are great too, my fav is the scallion pancake wrapped with braised beef. Prices are decent for the food, parking can be a bit tough sometimes but definitely recommend coming if you're a fan of noodles/asian snack foods

My Husband and so stumbled upon this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was! We went on Mother's Day so the place was pretty busy but the staff were very diligent in getting to every customer. We ordered the Chengdu Wontons (forgot to take a pic), Beef Lomein and Braised Beef Noodle Soup. All the items were delicious and given in great quantity for the prices. Would definitely recommend!

One of my favourite restaurants in west hartford! They're serving up the most authentic Chinese dishes, mostly in the form of small sharing plates, so that means more for you try. Whether it's dumplings or Dan Dan noodles, this is the spot to go. If it's a spicy peanut sauce you're looking for, nowhere does it better! Everything I've ordered here has been consistently delicious. The takeout service is also top notch (but if you're craving soup dumplings, better to order in person). Many of my favorite dishes are on the oily side, but incredibly flavorful and never greasy. My recommendations are the Dan Dan noodles (so good I sometimes order 2), seven flavor wonton, soup dumplings, scallion pancake roll, and twice cooked pork noodles. The service is incredibly fast yet the food comes out hot and fresh every time. They offer great recommendations if you're not sure what to order, and can help steer you in the right direction. The price is also super reasonable, which is refreshing for a high quality restaurant in the center.

Was craving some soup and decided to give this place a try. Located in West Hartford center. Street parking. Service we were greeted right away and seated. The server was very attentive abs friendly. Had a lot of small talk. I ordered the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Soup Dumplings and shrimp lo mein. All was good. The soup especially hit the spot for me. They only had wine and beer I believe, as they do not have a liquor license. Will def be back when in town.

I came here on a Friday after work for dinner with my husband. We love this place but hadn't been in a while so we're so excited to get back. We were able to get a table and place our order right away. Per usual the food was amazing. I did order the bean curd with stewed beef for the first time and I highly recommend it. It was so different and flavorful, and well worth the price. Overall a fantastic visit and I highly recommend stopping in.
